Z/IP and Duplicate MAC address

Hi,

I use a z/ip controller to manage some nodes for z-wave network. My controller is connected via ethernet to a router. As I understood, at init stage, the controller asks for an IP addr from the router (dhcp request) for each included node. However, after running ipscan on my network, I found all nodes with their respective ipv4 addr sharing the same MAC address of the controller. This is causing a slowness in my IP traffic and sometimes, I loose connection to the controller (no ping available). Could you please help me on this issue?

Hi,

The Z/IP Gateway will re-use the same MAC address for all the Z-Wave devices as the IP’s are all related to the same bridge HW (Raspberrypi). But this should not result in slow IP routing or connection loos.

Do you have a wireshark log showing the problem?
