Which UZB firmware should I use for Z/IP Controller?

#1

I’ve ACC-UZB3-E-STA (static controller). Now I try using Z/IP and want flash the stick with Bridge controller firmware. But I see that there more than one firmware for bridge controller in Z-Wave SDK folder. Tell me please what one I’ve use for program my UZB3 to make it Bridge controller for Z/IP? I mean these firmwares:

serialapi_controller_bridge_OTW_ZW050x_RU_WITH_BOOTLOADER.hex
serialapi_controller_bridge_ZW050x_RU.hex
serialapi_controller_bridge_ZW050x_USBVCP_RU.hex

Thanks for all!

Alex

Dear Alex,

you need to use this file: serialapi_controller_bridge_OTW_SD3503_USBVCP_RU_WITH_BOOTLOADER.hex

you need to download the SDK here: https://siliconlabs.force.com/apex/validateZWSDK?ContentId=0681M000002eywQ&ContentType=ESDK&rURL=https%3A//www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/z-wave/embedded-sdk.html

Now the file is located in this folder: /Users/casteffe/Documents/Z-Wave/SDK/SDK_v6_81_01/ProductPlus/SD3503/ProductPlus/Bin/SerialAPI_Controller_Bridge

But programming through USB is know to brake the UZB, so I would not recommend it. Instead you may open the UZB and use the test points as described here: https://www.silabs.com/documents/login/reference-manuals/INS12713-UZB-Product-Manual.pdf. You then need to wire the test points to the Z-Wave programmer (ZDP03A) from the DevKit.

I hope this helps
